Use of high-performance ceramics

Page Title

Would you like to improve tool life and thereby the reliability of your products?

The use of high-performance ceramics is our solution for this. We offer you an individual customer solution.

Alumina (Al2O3)

Alumina has better abrasion resistance, heat resistance and corrosion resistance.

As a frequently used material, it is regularly used in the production of technical ceramics.

scope of application

  • stint

  • electronic engineering

  • mechanical engineering

Zirconium Oxide (ZrO2)

Zirconium oxide (ZrO2) not only has a high degree of hardness, abrasion resistance and toughness. But also a higher thermal expansion coefficient and a significantly reduced thermal conductivity. Because of such properties, it is used as a compound for ceramics and steel.

Scope of application:

  • optical communication

  • smartwatch

  • fireplace insert

  • Special construction parts

silicon carbide (SiC)

Silicon carbide (SiC) is almost as hard as diamond and not only the lightest but also the hardest material. It owns perfect low coefficient of thermal expansion and strong acid and alkali resistance. It is used as the ideal material when dealing with extreme conditions with temperature fluctuations.

Scope of application:

  • petrochemicals

  • mechanical engineering

  • space travel

Silicon Nitride (Si3N4)

Because of the perfect abrasion resistance, impact resistance and toughness against fracture and heat resistance, silicon nitride is suitable as a material for precision ball bearings and molds of heavy-duty ceramics. It is recognized as the ideal material for rollers and other moving parts under extreme conditions and heavy loads.

Scope of application:

  • mechanical engineering

  • stint

  • automotive components

  • industrial wear parts

  • Aerospace
